Activity Pavilion, Stick Horse Rodeo & Royalty

DESCRIPTION

Volunteers assist in the Activity Pavilion, one of the National Western’s newest venues, where numerous activities for children and families are held. NWSS volunteers in this service area will help direct school groups and families to the Backstage with Rodeo Clown performances and conduct activities such as the Stick Horse Grand Prix, Stick Horse Rodeo and Pedal Tractor Races. Other activities include Super Dog Meet and Greet and Dancing With Dogs performances, the Wild West Show Preview and evening social events.

We spend our days making little kids (and their Moms and Dads) happy. Volunteers will have lots and lots of fun putting on the liveliest events at the Stock Show! We guarantee you’ll be active, you’ll be busy and your smile muscles will be aching at the end of every shift.

Volunteers also assist the Marketing Department year-round to promote the NWSS. Events may be at the Complex or off-site locations and may include Cheyenne Frontier Days, Girl Scout Expo, Rotary, Kiwanis, other luncheons and the Boots ‘n Business luncheon. Most events consist of representing NWSS booth, handing out flyers and general information for promotion of the Stock Show.

Local Rodeo Royalty are goodwill ambassadors and can sign up by calling the NWSS. Royalty volunteers will assist in the Activity Pavilion and elsewhere in the Complex during the Stock Show and promote the NWSS as well as their rodeo, riding club, county fair and the western way of life.
