Catch-a-Calf Contest
In just over 70 years, the Catch-A-Calf Contest has awarded nearly 3,000 steers to 4-H members hailing from the western United States.

CINCH Equicross
CINCH Equicross is a gymkhana style rodeo consisting of four (4) events: Rescue Race, Key Hole Race, Ring Race/Musical Ropes and Flag Racing. Contestants are 14-18 years of age and compete for scholarship money.


Colorado Fiddle Championships
The Colorado Old Time Fiddlers’ Association (COTFA) is dedicated to fiddling of all kinds, with a special emphasis on contest (Texas Style) fiddling.




Coors Western Art Show
One of the finest art shows celebrating our western heritage! Net proceeds benefit the National Western Scholarship Trust.




Fan Appreciation Day
The last day of Stock Show is "Fan Appreciation Day." Grounds admission tickets are only $10 and include free parking!

Five to 7-year-olds under 55 pounds ride a sheep out of a bucking chute and into the rodeo arena. Like professional rodeo events, time and score count, but all of these aspiring cowboys and cowgirls receive a participation award.

Are you tough enough to wear pink? Join us for a special rodeo to help raise money for breast cancer research - and don't forget to wear pink!

Stock Dog Trials
From backyard pets to a cowman's top assistant, dogs are man's best friend. And, the National Western Stock Show takes pride in highlighting the relationship between these amazing animals and their human counterparts.


Super Dogs
Bringing a show full of amazing tricks, aerial stunts and comedy antics all performed by man’s best friend. Super Dogs is one of the National Western’s hottest family events.

Team Penning
The National Western team penning is bound to catch your attention. A fast-paced event full of action, each team must sort and pen the pre-selected cattle from a large herd in the specified amount of time. Team penning competition is scheduled for January 14-15, 2014 in the Coliseum. Finals will be held during Monday and Tuesday nights' Professional Bull Riders event.
