PRESIDENT'S CORNER
Fall 2007
Dear
Friends:
We on staff feel good about getting ready for the January show. Ticket sales are running in a dead heat with the last two years – both record-breaking until the weather turned on us in December of last year.
And, while we gear up for January, we continue to plan, prepare, and position National Western for a robust and healthy future. This planning carries two dimensions: people and facilities.
Stock Show staff is outstanding. I have said many times that this staff is second-to-none in the world of stock shows, rodeos, horse shows and facility management. But, we will not rest on our laurels. We continue to emphasize leadership and character development as critical to future success of the National Western Stock Show.
And, we continue to explore our options in our long-range planning. The chairman of the board of directors, Jerry McMorris, and all members of the executive committee are truly committed to building an exciting and successful vision for the next 100 years of this famed institution. Their leadership and dedication to the National Western are deeply appreciated.
We have a distinguished legacy to preserve and protect for our next generation of agricultural, rural and civic leaders – and we aim to fulfill that commitment.
Sincerely,

Patrick A.
