An opportunity for a commercial producer to display his breeding program,
the commercial heifer show features pens of 10 ungroomed replacement-quality
females. Following the judging, the females are sold at auction to cattlemen
looking to improve their herds. The commercial market is the basis of
today’s beef industry. The National Western Commercial Heifer Show
and Sale is held in conjunction with the Colorado Cattleman’s Association
producers show and the Pfizer Stockman’s Night Barbecue.
