Join us at 4:30pm in the National Western Club for Cocktails and Hors D'oeuvres. The Auction begins at 6:30pm in the Beef Palace Auction Arena.
An Auction catalog will be handed out at the door with the sale order. View the catalog prior to the auction to determine what animal you would like to bid on.
John Korrey, World Renound Auctioneer, and 5 other ringmen will be placed throughout the arena taking bids. Hold your bid card up high when the animal you choose to bid on is on the auction block.
If you won the bid, your name will be called by the Auctioneer and the Announcer.
A National Western Scholarship Student will come to you with an invoice and a buyer ribbon. The invoice will have your bidder number on it and the winning bid amount. You will fill out your name as you would like to have it in print, sign it and choose Option A or Option B:
Option A:
Winning Bidder pays the entire amount as accepted by the auctioneer which includes the **buyback amount. The buyback amount is DONATED TO THE SCHOLARSHIP TRUST
- This means that you will pay the entire amount you bid, which includes the
buy back and the Buy Back amount is donated to the Scholarship Trust.
Option B:This means that you deduct the "buy back" amount from your final bid price and you pay a reduced amount. No additional amount is given to the Scholarship Trust.
EXAMPLE:
Option A:
Your winning Bid - $2,000
You Pay - $2,000
Buy Back Amount - $1000 (weight of animal X price per lb paid by the meat packer) is donated to the Scholarship Trust
Option B
Your winning Bid - $2,000
Buy Back Amount - $1000 (weight of animal X price per lb paid by the meat packer) deducted from your winning bid
You Pay - $1,000
**BUYBACK: This is the pre-determined fair market value for the animal that the meat packer purchases the animal for (weight of animal X price per lb of each specie paid by the meat packer).
You receive the yellow copy of the invoice. You pay that night or within 72 hours of the sale.
We accept cash, checks or any major credit card.
The Scholarship Student will show you to the barns where you can take a picture with the Junior and the animal. A calendar will be sent to you following the event with your picture on it!
