International Livestock Congress-USA 2012

The International Livestock Congress – USA 2012 will address a variety of proactive strategies to deal with the ever-changing beef industry.

Attendees will hear firsthand from world renowned keynote speakers who will address the current marketing issues domestically and internationally. These "make or break" issues must be addressed in order to assure that the beef industry is positioned to “Feed the World”!

Hear the latest information on environmental impacts on beef production; sustainability; and knowing your international customer and competitors. Afternoon breakout sessions will focus on Latin America’s role in beef production; top three technologies that will increase volume and demand; maintaining quality and consistency; impact of regulations; preparing North America to compete; and how/what are we going to feed our cattle.

Closing the 2012 Congress will be a synopsis of the day by Dr. John Paterson and Dr. Gary Smith.

Participants should also plan to attend the everpopular pre-congress tour on Monday, January 9th. This optional tour will visit JBS USA, the world’s largest processor! This day long tour will illustrate the effort and effciencies associated in producing the quality product the consumer deserves, followed by a tour of Five Rivers feed yard.

The ILC provides a unique opportunity through the International Stockmen’s Educational Foundation’s Student Travel Fellowship Program. This program introduces attendees to a group of outstanding students from international and domestic agriculture colleges and universities. These individuals have excelled in advancing agriculture – come meet the leaders of tomorrow!
