The International Livestock Congress – USA 2012
will address a variety of proactive strategies to
deal with the ever-changing beef industry.
Attendees will hear firsthand from world
renowned keynote speakers who will address
the current marketing issues domestically and
internationally. These "make or break" issues must
be addressed in order to assure that the beef industry is
positioned to “Feed the World”!
Hear the latest information on environmental
impacts on beef production; sustainability; and
knowing your international customer and
competitors. Afternoon breakout sessions will
focus on Latin America’s role in beef production;
top three technologies that will increase volume
and demand; maintaining quality and
consistency; impact of regulations; preparing
North America to compete; and how/what are we
going to feed our cattle.
Closing the 2012 Congress will be a synopsis of
the day by Dr. John Paterson and Dr. Gary Smith.
Participants should also plan to attend the everpopular
pre-congress tour on Monday, January
9th. This optional tour will visit JBS USA, the world’s
largest processor! This day long tour will illustrate
the effort and effciencies associated in producing
the quality product the consumer deserves,
followed by a tour of Five Rivers feed yard.
The ILC provides a unique opportunity through
the International Stockmen’s Educational
Foundation’s Student Travel Fellowship Program.
This program introduces attendees to a group
of outstanding students from international and
domestic agriculture colleges and universities.

The cost of the conference is $200 per person or
$100 for students before December 19, 2011 and
includes a continental breakfast, a buffet lunch,
and grounds admittance to the National Western
Stock Show.

and must be purchased at the time of registration.
On-site (day of) purchase is not available as this
event is sold out prior to the opening of the
Stock Show.
