Gambler's Choice

show jumping competition with a rock-and-roll atmosphere, the Gambler's Choice
Open Jumper Stake incorporates world-class jumpers and a uniquely designed
course into an elite, high-energy performance. Each competitor jumps a round of
their choosing over a course of 10 to 14 jumps starting at 4-feet 6-inches in
height. Each jump carries a point value based on its degree of difficulty. The
winning factor is usually the daring nature of the competitor, as the top horses
accumulate the most points. Final scores are determined by adding the total
points and subtracting any penalties for exceeding the time allowed. As if
that's not exciting enough, each rider then has the option of taking the Joker
Jump with the risk of gaining a large number of points, or loosing those points
from their accumulated total.
